Doesn’t Wine Count as a Fruit? Introducing New Elegant, Portion-Controlled, Guilt-Free Glasses for Dieters
Napa, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2008
Mydietglass is a set of 4 glasses, myred for red wine, mywhite for white wine, mybubbly for champagne and mycocktail for mixed drinks. The wine and champagne glasses are marked with a line showing approximately 100 calories, 2 carbohydrates or, if you’re counting Weight Watcher Points®, equaling about 2 points®. The cocktail glass has a line where 1 ½ ounces of hard liquor measures less than 100 calories, 0 carbohydrates and 2 points®. (Remember to calculate the calories of whatever mixer you use also.) Customers can order directly from the website at http://www.mydietglass.com.
“Most wine, champagne and hard liquor is about 100 calories or less per serving. That can easily fit into a day’s allotment for whatever diet works for you. So enjoy your happy hour, nightcap or Sunday brunch with very little guilt!” –Sandy Austin–
Who We Are:
Linda Whitted and Sandy Austin have been friends for over 20 years both living in the City of Napa in the beautiful Napa Valley. We LOVE our food and wine and enjoy all of our great tasting events here in the wine capital of the world. Our problem is….eating all this delectable food and pairing it with these fabulous wines has put the pounds on! Linda’s favorite diet is Weight Watchers® and Sandy watches her carbohydrates. We designed mydietglass to help us and all those counting their calories that don’t want to skimp on that evening drink but also don’t want to overdo it. We’ve also added “Napa Valley” to the back of the glasses to remind everyone to come to Napa and experience the magnificence of where we’re fortunate enough to have lived for so many years.
Ask Linda:
We’ve also added a unique feature on our website http://www.mydietglass.com/ called “Ask Linda”. Linda’s knowledge of and experience with wine, food and endless dieting has made her somewhat of an expert when combining the three. E-mailers can contact her directly (linda @ mydietglass.com) or through the website with any questions. Ideas about how to make mydietglass better, testimonials, experiences or just to chat about dieting, wine or food are always welcome!
“I understand the struggle of dieting. I also know the health benefits of wine. It is my opinion that you don’t have to eliminate alcohol to stay on track. Mydietglass is an elegant way to stay in control.” –Linda Whitted–
Remember…
don’t just drink wine,
Enjoy Wine!

TableAndHome.com Now Offering Popular Riedel “O” Glasses; Unique, New, “It” Wine Glass Featured on TV’s “The Apprentice”
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) November 23, 2005
TableAndHome.com (http://www.TableAndHome.com) today announced they are carrying the popular Riedel “O” Glass, one of the most popular wine glasses currently on the market. Riedel, the renowned Austrian wine glass company, built its reputation as the glassware choice for discerning oenophiles by offering highly specialized glasses tailored to specific wine types. Riedel’s “O” glass, designed by 11th-generation Riedel scion Maximilian Riedel, is becoming a raging success and even appeared recently on Donald Trump’s The Apprentice TV show.
Just 27 years old, Maximilian Riedel first created the “O” stemless glass in 2004 and has become the most successful product introduction in the history of this 300-year-old company. “The ‘O’ glass has delighted many and outraged a few,” says Maximilian. “Americans were very quick to embrace a glass that offered all the enjoyment that Riedel is famous for, yet was more casual and easier to use, wash, and store and that added a playful element to the wine and spirits experience. The ‘O’ glass has become very popular in restaurants as well as with consumers who love the versatility of the glass.”
The stemless Riedel “O” glass is small enough to fit in a suit pocket or designer handbag. The “O” glasses come packed two to a box and are perfect for sharing a nightcap. Many different types of “O” wine glasses are available for the various types of wine. There are “O” wine glasses for white wines such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and so on, and various other “O” glasses for red wines such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. There’s even an “O” glass for savoring Japanese sake.
Fifty years ago, Claus Riedel revolutionized wine glasses by introducing a glass that was a “loudspeaker” for the aromas and flavors of wine. Riedel designs different wine glasses for each type of wine so that the nuances of that wine can be fully enjoyed.
“We are tickled to offer the beautiful Riedel “O” glass to our customers who appreciate fine crystal, fine wines and convenience,” said Susan Esayian, Store Manager.
