VinoShipper Releases Free Wine Education Videos

Winemaker Nick Goldschmidt

Windsor, CA (PRWEB) June 11, 2008

To aid consumers in fully understanding the subtleties and complexities that govern every step of a winemaker’s decision-making process, VinoShipper.com has released for free online viewing the first two episodes in its new video series, “The Winemakers.”

The first winemaker featured is Nick Goldschmidt, formerly Executive Domestic Winemaker for Beam Estates wine portfolio and now co-owner and winemaker of Goldschmidt Vineyard/Forefathers in Healdsburg, California. The videos are available at Vinoshipper’s social site.

Episode 1 features Nick presenting his extensive international and domestic winemaking experience. Episode 2, “Vine Layout and Control,” has Nick in the vineyard discussing root stock and grafting, light control through row layout, and vine control via a layer system. The remaining 12 videos in this 14 part series–which will explore the vineyard, site specific farming and harvesting, field selections and clones, white and red style fine wine making, closures, and southern hemisphere vineyards and wines–will be released over the next few weeks at VinoShipperSocial.com.

“Fine winemakers know that every decision in the grape-growing and winemaking process impacts what we see, sense, and taste,” said Steven Harrison, Vinoshipper.com’s CEO and president. “As a wine lover, grasping the nuances of these decisions can heighten our appreciation of what is in our glass. We’re grateful that our first video series features a winemaker of Nick Goldschmidt’s stellar international reputation.”

Brian Carter Cellars Releases Five European-Style Blended Wines

Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) March 27, 2006

Renowned winemaker Brian Carter released today five premium wines under the new Brian Carter Cellars label. The winery will be the first in Washington to focus exclusively on an array of hand-crafted European-style blended wines. In addition, winery general manager, Mike Stevens announced the plans for a Woodinville-area tasting room set to open in late spring of 2006.

“This is a fantastic time to be part of Washington winemaking. The next revolution in fine wine is in the increased interest in blended wines in this country. We have an excellent selection of fruit available that allows a winemaker to produce extraordinary quality blended wines,” said Brian.

Dan McCarthy, of Seattle’s McCarthy and Schiering Wine Merchants, stated, “The 2002 Tuttorosso is one of the best American Super Tuscan-style reds I have ever tasted. He takes the concept of blending Sangiovese and Cabernet in Washington to a completely new level. It is becoming clear that blended wines made here will clearly outdistance those made of single grape varietals.”

The Brian Carter Cellars Collection

2002 Tuttorosso (Italian –“All Red”) Super Tuscan-style Blend: Yakima Valley; 58% Sangiovese, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah.

2002 L’Etalon (French-“The Stallion”) Bordeaux-style Blend: Yakima Valley; 51% Cabernet, 28% Merlot, 12% Cab Franc, 5% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot.

2002 Byzance (French-“Luxurious”) Southern Rhône-style Blend: Yakima Valley; 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah.

2000 Solesce (Latin “Essence” and “Sun”) Signature Bordeaux-style Blend: Columbia Valley; 44% Merlot, 32% Cab, 14% Cab Franc, 10% Malbec.

2004 Oriana (Latin-“Golden Lady”) Rhône-style White Blend: Yakima Valley; 45% Roussanne, 36% Riesling, 19% Viognier.

About Brian Carter Cellars, A Passion For the Art of Blending: Organized as a boutique artisan winery in the spring of 2005 as Carter-Stevens, LLC. Brian Carter (Winemaker) and Mike Stevens (General Manager) operate the winery. The winery focuses on European-style blends. CorkSavvy.com Releases ‘White Label’ E-Cellar & Wine Journal — A Free, Customizable Widget That Integrates Into Other Sites

E-Cellar & Wine Journal

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 6, 2009

CorkSavvy.com, a leading web site that offers educational resources and interactive tools to help users get savvy about wine, announces the launch today of a “White Label” E-Cellar–a free, customizable version of CorkSavvy’s popular virtual wine cellar tool that allows users to quickly catalog and organize wines that they own, like, or wish to buy.

Administrators of other web sites (e.g., media sites, blogs, and winery or retailer web pages) can simply incorporate the HTML for the White Label E-Cellar into their existing formats, and their visitors will have all of the power of CorkSavvy’s E-Cellar, while always staying within the “host site.”

For a demonstration of how this customizable E-Cellar might fit into a host web site, view the sample E-Cellar Widget. This example of the White Label Cellar is embedded into a standard blogging platform.

Adding CorkSavvy’s E-Cellar tool to an existing web site is a great way to attract visitors back to the host site multiple times per day, and what’s more, the host site maintains complete control of all advertising. White Label E-Cellar users will experience the host site as they normally do–other sections of the host site, plus ads and promos, are right there for the clicking.

To learn how to incorporate the E-Cellar into your web site, visit the CorkSavvy widget page.

The White Label E-Cellar is so-called because it fits neatly within another site and bears the host site’s own branding (if desired), not CorkSavvy’s (with the exception of a “Powered by CorkSavvy” icon). Below are a few of the benefits of incorporating the free White Label E-Cellar into a host site:

The E-Cellar can be branded in whatever way best suits the host site’s goals.
The host site will maintain complete control of all advertising space, including banner ads.
The E-Cellar dovetails perfectly with wine and/or food content on a host site: The E-Cellar provides another reason for wine lovers to return to the site–to read more (for media sites and blogs) and buy more (for winery and retailer sites).
Simply put, the E-Cellar drives repeat traffic: The added value that the E-Cellar gives to the host site will lead more web users to revisit for reasons beyond the host site’s own content–and in turn they are more likely to visit more pages on the host site, generating more potential advertising impressions.
A highly targeted audience to attract advertisers: The E-Cellar will deliver a large but targeted pool of readers/users to potential advertisers. Wine, liquor, glassware, travel, and other advertisers will know they’re reaching a key wine-drinking audience when advertising on the host site’s E-Cellar pages.
